Joy's Prizewinning Trifle

Ingredients
  • 1 (12 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed
  • 1 (8 ounce) container sour cream
  • 1 (9 inch) angel food cake
  • 1 (3.4 ounce) package instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 3 kiwis, peeled and sliced
  • 1 pint fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 3 bananas, peeled and sliced
  • 1 (15 ounce) can crushed pineapple, drained
  • 1 sprig fresh mint

Directions
  1. In a medium bowl, fold sour cream and unprepared pudding mix into the whipped topping.
  2. Cut the cake into thirds, horizontally.
  3. Line a large trifle or other glass serving bowl with kiwi and strawberry slices, reserving two whole strawberries and two kiwi slices. Place one layer of cake in bottom of bowl, top with 1/3 of bananas and pineapple, and 1/3 of whipped topping mixture. Repeat layering until all ingredients are used.
  4. Make fan garnishes of whole strawberries by slicing from just below the stem. Garnish assembled trifle with fanned strawberries, reserved kiwi slices, and a sprig of mint. Refrigerate until serving.
 *  I used this recipe but changed it up a bit and made it my own. I didn't like the fruits kiwi and pineapple so I used blueberries, blackberries, and raspberries instead. I also didn't use the mint.

Cut up about 3 cups of strawberries.
Angel food cake for the base of the trifle
Whipped topping thawed (I just used cool whip)
Sour cream and Vanilla mix added to cool whip
After a layer of berries spread a layer of cool whip mix
Keep on doing layers of
angel food cake, berries, and cool whip mix

Now for the top, I did whipped cream and strawberries,
but be creative and make it your own.

I made this dessert for my family christmas dinner.
Everybody Loved it!!
My aunt thought it was soo good she went back for seconds.

This is a great dessert that feeds a lot of people and taste delicious

 Report and Comments:
Everything went well. I had to go back to the store once to get some more ingredients because we had a large bowl. Everyone at the christmas dinner thought it was great and some when back for seconds. Nathan was hoping i was going to make a cheesecake instead, but he still enjoyed the trifle.

1/4 cups melted butter

I also made a blackberry sauce to go over the pancakes.
I used a bag of frozen blackberries with about a half cup of water.
When it's bubbling, mix and add cornstarch to thicken it.
And its a perfect sauce to pour over pancakes
Whipping cream and blackberry sauce over pancakes!
YUM!!
Report and Comments:
Everything went well. I used almost the whole carton of buttermilk because the mixture was very thick. This is a very easy recipe to make. I used to make it with my mom all the time when I was little, my favourite was to scooped the batter on the skillet. I made these pancakes for supper because my brother Nathan came home today from college and he loves pancakes. Nathan had a friend over, Billy, he loved the pancakes, he even had thirds! My mom liked them too. We all thought it was a delicious supper.

Report and Comments:
Every thing went well. I've made this once before so it was fairly easy. My brothers were home from college, so the whole family got to enjoy it. Nathan said it was good but he would rather have the "normal" blueberry cheesecake. But my Mom, Dad, and Leah all said it was delicious.

Mediterranean Pasta - Meal

Ingredients:

6 Mild Italian sausages
1 package of noodles
2 peppers
1 onion
1 head of broccoli
1 package of sliced mushrooms
1 can of corn
handful of spinach

Take sausages out of casing and cook until done
Cut the peppers, broccoli, and onion, stir in bowl,
add corn and mushrooms.
 Add dressing of your choice.
I usually use Sun Dried Tomato

 Add spinach to soften vegetables.
When wilted it's ready!
Well vegetables are cooking,
cook noodles
When the meat, vegetables, and noodles are done
add to a big pot and add dressing to taste
A baguette goes along great with this meal

ENJOY!

REPORT AND COMMENTS:

Every thing went very well. This is not a actual recipe from a book, but this is something my dad and I make. I have made this recipe many times. We usually have it once a week, because everyone loves it. Sometimes we have it with chicken instead of sausage, or different vegetables, like tomatoes, cauliflower, zucchini, and black olives. We also use rice noodles. I usually make it with feta cheese, which everyone likes, except my brothers. This is our family's favourite meal for dinner. We always make extras for lunches.

Guacamole is a great dip with tortito chips

Report and Comments :
I did not follow a recipe but every went very well. I have made this before with my mom and I've made the guocamole many times. Spanish rice is very easy to make and very yummy! I could have used more spices, I'll know for next time. My dad still thought it was great, he used meggie to add some more flavour to it. My mom and sister both thought it tasted delicous too.
